BLACK MICA STONE WITH BLACK GROUT BRINGS A DRAMATIC ACCENT TO THIS FIREPLACE WHERE A FUTURISTIC TOUCH WAS NEEDED BY THE HOME OWNERS' INTERIOR DESIGNER.
THE ENTIRE POOL DECK, WATERFALL & ENTERTAINMENT/ BAR AREA AT POOLSIDE, WERE ACHIEVED BY USING CALIFORNIA GOLD DUST STONE WITH BLACK SLATE AND GLASS BLOCKS. THE WATERFALL ALSO INCLUDES WHITE MARBLE CRYSTAL QUARTZ, AND BLACK SLATE STONES TO COMPLETE THE NATURAL CASCADE EFFECT.
HUGE CORAL BOULDERS WERE CAREFULLY SET IN BY CRANES, AS THE MAIN FRAME UPON WHICH THIS STONE INSTALLATION WAS CREATED, “GROWING” OUT OF THE CUT CORAL FLOORING OF THIS UPSCALE POOL DECK… NOTE THE SHEER DESCENT WATERFALL AT REAR OF PHOTO, USING MEXICAN PINK SLATE.
RIVER ROCK AND MOSS STONE WERE USED IN THIS POOLSIDE INSTALLATION, WHERE POOL COPING & WATERFALL CREATE A WARM, FROLICKING ATMOSPHERE!
Above, the photo shows a cut coral treatment on a 24 ft wall, from floor to ceiling, with the fireplace at center becoming the focal point of the installation. Notice that the hearth is at floor level. this installation was completed using Ashler Cut Coral. The walls were done with Cut Coral installed flat, with random horizontal stratta. The 2 round columns flanking each side are stacked Cut Coral style installations.
The stone installation on the photo above, involves the entire pool deck, the pool coping, the free-form tile line, the waterfall and planters, and the facing of the waterfront, which extends downwards, to the pool floor. This job was executed using Crab Orchard Flagging stone.
