BLACK MICA STONE WITH BLACK GROUT BRINGS A DRAMATIC ACCENT TO THIS FIREPLACE WHERE A FUTURISTIC TOUCH WAS NEEDED BY THE INTERIOR DESIGNER FOR THE HOME OWNERS.
THIS GREAT POOL DECK, WATERFALL & ENTERTAINMENT BAR AT POOLSIDE WERE ACHIEVED BY USING CALIFORNIA GOLD DUST WITH BLACK SLATE AND GALSS BLOCKS. THE WATERFALL ALSO INCLUDES WHITE MARBLE CRYSTAL QUARTZ, AND BLACK SLATE STONES TO CREATE A NATURAL CASCADE EFFECT.
HUGE CORAL BOULDERS WERE USED AS THE MAIN FRAME FOR THIS STONE INSTALLATION “GROWING” OUT OF THE CUT CORAL FLOORING IN THIS POOL DECK AREA… NOTE THE SHEER DESCENT WATERFALL AT REAR OF PHOTO, USING MEXICAN PINK SLATE.
RIVER ROCK AND MOSS STONE WERE USED IN THIS POOLSIDE INSTALLATION, WHERE POOL COPING & WATERFALL CREATE AN INVITING ATMOSPHERE!
Above, the photo shows a coral treatment on a24 ft wall, from floor to ceiling, with the fireplace at center being the focal point of the installation. Notice the hearth at floor level. It was done with Ashler Cut Coral. The walls were done with Cut Coral installed flat and in random horizontal clusters. The 2 rounded columns flanking each side were done in stacked Cut Coral style.
The stone installation on above photo includes the entire pool deck, the coping and the free-form tile line, the waterfall and planters, and the facing of the waterfront extends to the pool floor. This job was executed using Crab Orchard Flagging stone.
